In Dimraeth , pets serve as essential companions that assist players with survival, exploration, and combat. There are currently 9 unique pets available, divided into three main categories: Dogs, Cats, and Birds. While players can have multiple pets roaming freely around their Base, bringing them on adventures introduces specific gameplay mechanics.

Utility and Inventory

  • Loot Courier: A pet's primary exploration function is transporting items. They can carry your gathered loot back to your base, automatically locate an available chest to deposit the resources, and return to your location in the field.
  • Inventory Weight: Equipping a pet requires logistical management. Each pet occupies 25 weight capacity inside your inventory.
  • Trade Restrictions: Currently, pets cannot be sold to merchants, traded to teammates in multiplayer sessions, or deposited into standard storage chests.

Combat Mechanics

Pets actively participate in encounters by applying various status effects to enemies, synergizing directly with the game's Souls-lite combat system. Known pet debuffs include:

  • Bleed
  • Frost
  • Stagger
