The short version

Think of Basic Attacks as your mana sustain tool, not a fallback you use only after spells run out.

01

Basic Attacks are part of the spell loop

The public design direction ties in-combat Concentration recovery mainly to landing Basic Attacks. A Magician is not meant to stay disconnected from weapon attacks.

02

Use a repeatable weave

A practical pre-EA pattern is spell → Basic Attack → recovery → spell. Adjust the number of attacks to the enemy opening instead of forcing a fixed rotation.

03

Five Spell Slots means coverage matters

A compact loadout can divide its five slots between damage, area control, utility and defense. Do not fill every slot with the same kind of output.

04

What still needs testing

Exact recovery values, timing, weapon differences and how each Race kit changes the loop are not safe to hard-code before the EA client is verified.
