The safest launch evening is: learn the meters, reach Earlwood, build the resource loop, then enter Wildwood prepared.
Start with the actual launch roster
The launch-day guide reports three Races—Human, Minotaur and Elf—and three Classes—Brawler, Magician and Shadow—forming nine current combinations. The store's eight Races × six Classes remains a 1.0 target, not a day-one menu.
Use Lost Caverns as a combat tutorial
Before chasing levels, practise short attack strings, Stamina preservation, Dodge, Block and Parry. If your first deaths come from empty Stamina or ignored wind-ups, grinding more XP is usually the slower fix.
Reach Earlwood, then make the home loop useful
Meet the local NPCs, gather before selling, build an initial Crafting Station and set up Farm plots before treating decoration as a priority. Cook before a named encounter and carry Health, Concentration and Stamina recovery.
Use Earlwood NPCs as route anchors
Befr is the travelling merchant, Manga the forge-focused Minotaur, Eldorian the Guild Hall Elf, Tamsin the enchanter and banner maker, while Alaric Audet and Myrll connect to the story, personal quests or later companion work. These are useful names to check in the village; recruitment order, romance conditions and every dialogue consequence remain unverified.
Do not rush the first Wildwood push
Leave Earlwood with free inventory space, a tested five-spell loadout and a clear answer for the resource your build spends most. Side quests and pet or service unlocks can wait when the main route is still obvious, but do not assume a later Deed replaces story progress.
Co-op rule to agree on first
Choose whose World owns the campaign before building a long-term Stronghold. Level, Equipment, Inventory, Spells and Personal Progression travel with the character; Story Progress, recruited allies and Buildings stay with the host World.
