Crafting Recipes & Resource Planning

Recipes are discovered through play, while materials often serve more than one system.

The short version

A recipe table is only useful when every row carries its game version and source status.

01

Recipe discovery is part of progression

The source set describes Exploration and Experimentation as two ways to uncover recipes. The Crafting Codex is intended to become the site's canonical record once the EA client is checked.

02

Use the Codex as a discovery map

The current community reference reports that the Codex tracks undiscovered recipes tied to an ingredient and shows links in a recipe chain. Use those hints to decide which material combinations are worth testing instead of treating the first known use as the only one.

03

Experiment in the right station

Some recipes can be made from the backpack while others require a specific station. Put the candidate inputs into the station slots; a successful experiment crafts the result and records the recipe for later use.

04

Hold materials until their role is clear

Materials can support gear, buildings, food, potions, Spellbooks and NPC development. Selling every spare drop is one of the easiest ways to slow an early settlement.

05

Keep exact tables versioned

Cooking, Crafting Bench and Alchemy Table are known from Demo-era records, while the Codex and station flow are the safer current system notes. Exact ingredients, upgrade tiers and equipment recipes must remain labelled as legacy or pending until re-tested.

06

Start with the survival chain

The refreshed community snapshot offers a practical verification order: Water from 1× Droop Gelo at the Alchemy Table; Poison Cure from 3× Dryad Lock + 3× Tenderberry + 3× Water; then lesser Health, Concentration and Stamina potions. Treat these as candidate EA rows until the current client confirms the recipe, output and unlock state.

07

Find Storage under Furniture

A launch discussion reports that Storage Chests appear in the Sanctum's Furniture category and may require nails and boards made at the Workbench. If the chest is not visible, check the category and material prerequisites before concluding that no chest recipe exists. The UI and costs still need current-client capture.

08

Restocking is not the same as cooking

Community guidance says a world campsite can be used to rest at any time, while the Sanctum tent is reported as night-only. Resting can replenish combat consumables such as potions and elemental flasks; Campfire food preparation is a separate action. Record these as version-labelled rules until reproduced.

09

Equipment crafting is a live conflict

A January developer post said full equipment crafting was not yet in the game, while the September Steam store copy mentions crafting equipment. The correct page state is EA launch verification required.
