Dimraeth DB editorial guide
The short version

Use the practical route to reach a stable loop, then let current-client evidence—not a copied tier list—decide what becomes permanent advice.

01

The first two hours have a clean route

A practical launch route is Lost Caverns → Learning to Build → Earlwood → Time Tardy Scout. In Earlwood, use the Farmland loop for Pinewood, place a Storage Chest from the Build menu, keep Tenderberries for recovery, craft a Health Flask when the station is available, and salvage unwanted gear instead of selling every drop.

02

Protect materials with several jobs

Pinewood, Tenderberries, salvage output and early station materials can feed buildings, food, potions and equipment. Keep a small reserve until the next quest or recipe is clear; the short-term gold from selling a material is rarely worth losing the option it supports.

03

Combat is a three-resource loop

Stamina pays for physical actions and defense; Concentration supports spells and is restored mainly through Basic Attacks. Keep a defensive answer available, weave attacks into spell play, and prepare food or potions before a named encounter because combat does not provide normal bag access.

04

Rest, tent and Campfire are different

Community reports distinguish a world Campsite, which can rest at any time, from the Sanctum Tent, which is reported as night-only. Resting can refill combat consumables such as potions and elemental flasks; cooking at a Campfire is a separate interaction. A useful reset is unload inventory → rest → cook food and prepare cures → enter the route.

05

World Difficulty is not Deed Tier

World Difficulty is chosen when a World is created and current reports say it cannot be changed later; some players also reported a mismatch between Moderate and Hard on loading. Deed and Bounty tiers are a separate repeatable progression layer. Confirm the World settings before investing in story, NPCs and buildings, then farm the highest Deed you can clear consistently.

06

Build around one primary interaction

Current community cases include Minotaur Brawler with Bleed or Blunt control, Human Brawler with Rage and Bleed, Elf Shadow with status or area pressure, and Fireball-focused Magician directions. These are testable examples, not a tier list. Pick one primary interaction, let the second weapon cover a real gap, and stop adding unrelated damage types when the build cannot sustain them.

07

Skill trees and Weapon Swap need a small plan

The public framework has Race, Class and Archetype trees, with attributes, passives, spells and modifiers competing for limited points. Prioritize the node or attribute that makes the build function, then verify Weapon Swap early so the second weapon supports the loop instead of becoming an expensive distraction. Exact node costs, thresholds and final layouts remain unverified.

08

Treat universal and Boss spells as separate sources

Race and Class spells belong to the skill-tree layer. Universal Attribute Spells come from shop Spellbooks after an attribute threshold and are not restricted to one Race or Class. Boss spells require the Boss unlock plus a crafted Spellbook, sometimes with another attribute gate. A ruined Spellbook is an intermediate restore step, not a learned spell.

09

Co-op has a portable side and a World side

Level, Equipment, Inventory, Spells and Personal Progression travel with the character. Story Progress, Buildings, recruited Allies and other Stronghold infrastructure belong to the host World. Agree on the long-term host before building; do not assume a character transfer carries the campaign with it.

10

Migrate a World with backups intact

On Windows, current reports place a World at %USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/Mudtek/Dimraeth/Worlds/<world_name>.jrwf, alongside .bak1 and .bak2 files. Copy the main file and both backups, back up any same-name destination file, and test the copy before touching the original. Never make deletion the first migration step.

11

Use the Hotfix list before inventing a workaround

Hotfix 0.107.7694 reports fixes for large-server NPC dialogue, abandoning Side Quests, Maintaining the Defenses delivery, Storage Chest pages and Plague Shards audio. Still keep version-labelled reports for skill-point overspend after interruption, Sanctum Waypoint escapes, bonfire re-entry locks and controller dialogue that may require keyboard input.

12

Keep the evidence boundary visible

Do not hard-code exact drop rates, pet ability values, map coordinates, skill-node costs, romance rewards or fixed Deed multipliers from a single community run. This page records useful routes and decision rules; the remaining queue needs current-client screenshots, recordings or repeated runs before it becomes database truth.
